     Steel has been considered as the most reliable metal not only for its strength, rather for its singular and distinct firmness in springing the developing attitudinal properties from the abysmal of one’s good-self.  The icons of Post-Independent era of ours country have pledged to reform and develop the contexts of the social mores up to the state-of-the-art.  Imbued with the spirit of such invigoration the Founder of the LCD posited his agility and attention to the field of education with the vision to infuse the upcoming students with the vitality as to their societal roles and responsibilities besides their careers. The agony of the illiterates and poverty-stricken individuals around the locality and the impoverishments thereof in every reaches of the society impelled the Founder to take up this noble mission to sensitize the students to swear the iron-determination to cater out justice to the needy.

     The first materialization of such vision of the Founder is, “DIATM” in the year 2002 having  the disciplines of Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Chemical & Electrical Engineering etc. and the consequences of holding on  of such irresistible spirit and courage presented the introduction of “MID” imparting BBA, BCA, MBA & MCA in 2003, “DCCS” with BIO-TECHNOLOGY (H), BIO-CHEMISTRY, “DHSSCS” with vocational courses of Science & Commerce, “MANISHA INTERNATIONAL” a few to illustrate. LCD (Law College, Durgapur) is another cherished –desire of R.N. Majumdar to enable and equip the students with such values so that the ills of the society could be staved off.  His vision is that with the arrival of these youngsters into the mainstream of the socio-economic fields there would be the Gradual change in the scenario of the society and would make this pocket virtually developed and most-cited example in the global society.
